Finance & Accounting Manager

Overview
Seaplane Asia Group is pioneering premium seaplane and aviation services across Asia. We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to be based in Thailand, who will take responsibility for the Finance & Accounting function locally while also coordinating across international entities within the Group.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can establish and maintain proper accounting and reporting systems, manage tax compliance, and ensure timely and accurate financial consolidation across the Group. The candidate must be both strategic and operational, with the ability to build processes from the ground up while also managing routine activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations
– Oversee the full spectrum of accounting (GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, inventory, cash management) for the Thailand entity and provide oversight of operations across all group companies.
– Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with Thai Accounting Standards and IFRS.
– Manage daily finance operations, including bank reconciliations, payments, and petty cash.
– Maintain Chart of Accounts and ensure alignment across entities for consolidation purposes.
– Set up and optimize the accounting system/ERP and internal reporting processes.

Financial Reporting & Consolidation
– Prepare and analyze monthly management reports, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for both Thailand and Group level.
– Lead the consolidation of financial statements across Seaplane Asia Group entities (Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia).
– Develop and maintain group reporting packages for management and investors.
– Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data from international entities through coordination with local consultants/accountants.

Taxation & Compliance
– Handle Thai tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT, SBT, BOI if applicable), including timely submission and liaison with the Revenue Department.
– Coordinate with external tax consultants in other jurisdictions to ensure group-wide tax compliance.
– Ensure all statutory filings and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on time.
– Monitor compliance with aviation-related financial regulations and government reporting.

Audit & Internal Control
– Act as the main point of contact for external auditors in Thailand; support audits across Group entities.
– Ensure books and records are audit-ready at all times.
– Design and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
– Treasury & Cash Management
– Manage cash flow planning and working capital for the Thailand entity and support Group treasury.
– Oversee bank relationships, payment approvals, and foreign exchange transactions as required.

Business Partnering
– Provide financial insights and analysis to management for decision-making.
– Support budgeting and forecasting process for both Thailand and Group.

Leadership & Team Development
– Manage and mentor a small local finance team (or outsourced staff) in Thailand and other countries support team, as well as outsourced or regional support teams in other countries.
– Help build a high-performing finance function that can scale as the Group grows.
– Provide training and knowledge-sharing on accounting standards, tax, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Chartered Accountant preferred).
– Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
– Strong knowledge of Thai Accounting Standards (TFRS), IFRS, and Thai taxation.
– Proven experience in consolidation accounting for multi-entity or multi-country groups.
– Hands-on experience setting up or improving accounting systems/ERP.
– Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-border teams and external consultants.
– Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
– Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently in a fast-growing and resource-limited environment.
– Proficiency in English (spoken & written); additional regional language skills a plus.
– Experience working in a Big 4 audit firm is an advantage.
